Server backup that's stored in Canada and tested

Protect Recover backs up your servers, and the computers that matter most, with Axcient x360Recover. Backups are image-based, kept in Canadian data centres, protected against deletion, and restored on a schedule so we know they work.

On most cyber insurance applicationsDo you maintain offline or immutable backups, and are they tested regularly?

What's included

  • Image-based backups of your Windows servers throughout the day, so you can recover a single file or the whole machine.
  • Canadian storage. Off-site copies are kept in Axcient's Canadian cloud.
  • Deletion protection. Backup copies are protected so that a compromised admin account can't simply erase them.
  • Virtual recovery. If a server fails, a copy can run in Axcient's cloud while the hardware is repaired or replaced.
  • Tested, not assumed. We restore files from client backups on a regular schedule and keep a log of the results.
  • Generous storage. Includes up to 3 TB per server and 300 GB per computer.

Workstation backup, where it makes sense

If your files live in OneDrive, SharePoint or Google Drive, most computers don't need their own backup. We recommend it for specific machines that hold data nowhere else, not across the whole firm.

What it doesn't cover

  • Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace data. That's Protect Identity.
  • Recovery labour, such as rebuilding a server after a failure, which is billed hourly unless your agreement includes it.

Questions

Where is our data stored?

Off-site backup copies are stored in Axcient's data centre in Canada.

How quickly can we recover?

Single files and folders usually come back in minutes. For a failed server, a virtual copy can run in Axcient's cloud while the hardware is dealt with. How long a full recovery takes depends on the server and the situation, and we will be straight with you about it.

Our insurer asks for "immutable" or "offline" backups. Does this qualify?

Protect Recover keeps off-site copies with deletion protection. Insurers word this question differently, so send us the application and we will check the exact wording against what is in place.
